UBorrow Fulfillment Network
UBorrow Fulfillment Network
The BTAA's UBorrow service provides print delivery access to over 90 million books from the collections of the Big Ten member libraries, as well as the University of Chicago and Center for Research Libraries.
Our institutions commit to provide outstanding interlibrary loan services including:
Expedited delivery: items typically arrive within a week
Long loan periods: books check out for 16 weeks with a 16 week renewal
Enhanced access: sharing from all of our general physical collections, regardless of format, with as few limitations as possible
Technology platform
The institutions selected OCLC Resource Sharing for Groups as the next modern consortial solution for Big Ten resource sharing as it migrates away from Relais D2D. This solution takes a data-driven approach to expediting delivery and seamlessly connecting into the globally interlibrary loan network. ILLiad (by Atlas Systems) is utilized to easily manage requests and customize workflows at each institution.
