The CIC is very pleased to announce that Elizabeth Stovall will join the staff as Associate Director for Technology Collaboration effective May 16, 2014.
Working with the CIC Chief Information Officers, Elizabeth will manage a large portfolio of inter-institutional technical projects including the large-scale fiber optic network (OmniPoP); identity management; accessibility; data storage services; leadership development; online course initiatives; benchmarking and best practice sharing; and other projects identified by the member university campuses.
Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Memphis, along with an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern. She has 8 years of industry experience at Motorola and IBM, where she served variously as systems engineer, product planner and developer, and team leader for brands and university relationships. Since 1999, Elizabeth has worked for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, first as a project coordinator at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) and most recently as Director of Graduate Programs for the College of Engineering.
Elizabeth steps in to the role that was originally created (and will be vacated) by Karen Partlow, who is retiring June 1 after 14 years of excellent service to the CIC.
