An article in the Jan. 30 edition of the New York Times about the Big Ten Conference studying potential expansion plans included discussion of the role academics play in the Conference - and a mention of the Committee on Institutional Cooperation's relationship with the athletic league.
"Big Ten members also belong to the Committee on Institutional Cooperation, a pooling of resources and research opportunities that includes the University of Chicago," reporter Jere Longman wrote.
