Introduction
Overview
The Deans Leadership Program (DLP) focuses on critical issues that occur in the initial months and years of the dean’s role with intensive in-person as well as virtual engagement sessions. It is designed for deans to address the various questions and situations that both confront and confound them while working towards solutions that are beneficial for their college, colleagues, and them personally. This program provides a unique opportunity to learn from and with colleagues who are at a similar stage in their leadership journey.
Program Details
This learning experience will include dean-led sessions and discussion groups while also building a trusted professional network within and beyond your institution. Additionally, time is devoted to reflect and consult with peers regarding your various challenging scenarios, which allows for the development of action steps to address these situations.
The program includes two in-person sessions and two virtual sessions in which participants learn from each other and from experienced deans, provosts, and other academic leaders.
