University of Maryland Report Highlights CIC Opportunities

The recent Report of the President's Commission on UMD and Big Ten/CIC Integration released by the University of Maryland highlighted the advantages of CIC membership, describing the consortium as akin to a "'super university' in its broad array of offerings," noting opportunities in research, education, and administrative efficiencies.

Recommending a commitment to participate in CIC projects and activities "to the maximum extent that resources allow because of the benefits this association will afford," Maryland faculty, students, and staff, the report suggests that university should establish itself as the "CIC gateway to the national Capital region."
