Inside Illinois, the newspaper for faculty/staff at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, featured the University's membership in the CIC for its June 17 edition.
The article, titled "Campus sees many benefits from CIC membership," also describes CIC programs and initiatives to give University of Illinois faculty and staff better awareness of the consortium and its role on campus. The CIC is headquartered in Champaign.
“(The CIC) brings together really smart people from all these campuses,” CIC director Barbara McFadden Allen said. “They’re the best in the world at what they do. They don’t just come up with ways to solve problems, but they’re coming up with new models for how research is being done. We’re giving them the tools to make that happen.”
