José Domínguez, Chief Information Security Officer, University of Oregon

José is a dynamic and visionary leader who sees technology and people as part of a symbiotic environment and brings them together to propel forward an organization’s mission and vision. He brings a balanced approach to risk appetite, risk management, return on investments and people-centric initiatives to promote digital transformation. With over 30 years of experience working in technology, José currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Oregon (UO), where he is responsible for defining cybersecurity strategy and operations. He leads teams managing information security risk and compliance, IT security services and operations, IT disaster recovery, security incident response and the university’s Cyber Security Operations Center.

Brandon Grill, Senior Director for Technology Planning and Security at Northwestern University.

Brandon leads the Information Security Office, which includes information security operations and engineering, incident response, identity and access management, and information security governance/risk management. The primary responsibilities of the Information Security Office include: Directing IT security, policy, enterprise continuity, risk management, and identity and access management strategy across all of Northwestern Proactively mitigating and responding to IT security risks, in strong partnership with distributed IT across Northwestern Implementing and maintaining best-practice information security and identity infrastructure and technology Taking a risk-based approach to securing Northwestern’s information technology and assets that enable teaching, learning, and research Providing guidance to the University community on IT security best practices Brandon has served in progressive information technology roles at Northwestern since 2003, and in his current role since 2021.

Andrew Weisskopf, Chief Information Security Officer, Michigan State University 

Andy is the Chief Information Security Officer at Michigan State University where he leads the university’s cybersecurity posture to safeguard valuable data and resources. Andy and his team assist MSU in managing risks to information assets, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and systems. They provide services in access management, incident response, protection technologies, policy and risk identification, governance and compliance, and resilience. Prior to joining MSU, Andy served as the CISO at the University of Delaware, where he developed and implemented a comprehensive program to protect the institution’s systems and data. During his tenure, he administered the first-ever campus-wide information security strategic plan, expanding the security program and rolling out common tools to the entire university.
